We are a Purposeful Business

Our business is about bringing together the best networks, the best technology and the best people, making connections and creating new possibilities. When we do all these things business grows, communities flourish and people get more out of life.

That’s the difference we’re determined to make, every single day. One of the ways that we make this difference is by being the organiser and custodian of the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition which we have supported for almost 25 years.

STEM Teacher Intern Role

The role for the successful candidate is to work primarily as part of the Service Enablement team within the CTO (Technology) function. The team oversees CTO finances and performance, delivers CTO communications, acts as a single point of contact for engagement with the wider business and provides governance for CTO led projects. Via these functions we enable the overall CTO function to capture and track the tasks of our internal customers, tell the story – from Strategy to Delivery by providing governance which ensures that the CTO team does what we say we will. The duties for that role include:

  • Supporting the Front Door process which reviews the tasks coming to the team from other parts of the business. This will see the intern surveying the users of the process and reviewing feedback to see how we might make improvements. It will also involve some level of data cleansing
  • Website – the intern will work on reviewing and updating content and presentation of the material on the CTO website
  • Communications – the intern will become familiar with the various forms of communications done by the CTO team and work on some improvements using the various channels available
  • Other duties – during the time with us the intern will be asked to help out the project teams when required

Other Duties

BT in Ireland has an excellent Diversity and Inclusion Programme and also Corporate Social Responsibility Programme and there will be an opportunity to be involved in those pillars.
