Aoife Cashell
My name is Aoife Cashell. I am a final year student in Dublin City University studying primary school teaching with a specialism in Science. I have an interest in STEM and wish to develop these skills through this programme. I hope that this will allow me to then apply this into my practice as a teacher. I also want to get an insight into a workplace environment other than school and see all the opportunities STEM has to offer.
I am applying for this STEM teacher internship programme to allow me gain an insight into a new workplace
environment and to see the opportunities that are out there for me as a teacher who has an avid interest in Science
and Technology. The learnings I would gain from the internship will allow me new found knowledge that I hope I would be able to instill in my future students and develop their own interest in this field.
