Daniel Kenny
Hi, my name is Daniel and I am currently pursuing a Professional Masters of Education in the University of Limerick. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Galway with subject specialisms Mathematics and Geography. I am interested to learn how my subjects are used in a practical way in industry. I hope to develop some key skills and expand my knowledge during my internship. I hope these new skills can be used to approach learning in fresh ways, in order to be able to incorporate this into my own classroom practice going forward.
I am applying for the STInt Programme because I want to take part in an internship where I will learn new skills and develop a different perspective and appreciation towards my specialism subject(s). I think the opportunity to work in industry environments will cultivate key skills like being able to work as part of a team, critical thinking, gaining knowledge and wisdom from those who have been in the company for many years.
It is an exciting opportunity as I will develop different approaches teaching my subject material when I return to a classroom environment in September.
