Gas Networks Ireland’s core purpose is to ensure that over 673,000 homes and businesses receive a safe, efficient, and secure supply of natural gas, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Gas Networks Ireland own, operate, build and maintain the natural gas network in Ireland and connect all customers to the network. In Ireland, Networks runs the transmission system, which is linked to the UK and Europe through two interconnector pipelines with Scotland. It provides access to its 13,710km network of pipelines to retail energy supply companies.

STEM Teacher Intern Role

As a participant on our STEM Teacher Intern programme you will be placed in a related area: Asset Management; Asset Operations; Commercial Growth or Information Technology, which will provide you with a first hand insight into these areas. You will be part of a highly skilled professional team, many of whom are experts in their field, giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself in real life projects for example: large scale national capital infrastructure projects in both existing and renewables areas, technical service provision and IT Architecture and planning – allowing you to bring the practical application of STEM skills to life.
