APC was created out of a passion for science and research. In 2011, Dr. Mark Barrett and Prof. Brian Glennon of the UCD School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering in Dublin, Ireland, embarked on a mission to disrupt the pharma and biotech industries with a hyper-focused, accelerated approach to drug process development. APC has grown organically to become a global powerhouse in process development, partnering with companies large and small to bring medicines to market at unprecedented speed.
APC has created a new company, VLE Therapeutics, to support the manufacture of vaccines and advanced therapeutics for clinical and commercial supply. A Stage 1 investment is targeted to deliver an operational GMP manufacturing capability by the end of 2021. The leadership and operations team is currently being expanded in line parallel with the facility design and build. A Stage 2 will deliver a new bespoke 80,000 ft2 manufacturing facility by the end of 2023. The facility will provide a world-class platform for the GMP manufacture of a wide range of vaccines and advanced therapeutics.
