APC was created out of a passion for science and research. In 2011, Dr. Mark Barrett and Prof. Brian Glennon of the UCD School of Chemical
and Bioprocess Engineering in Dublin, Ireland, embarked on a mission to disrupt the pharma and biotech industries with a hyper-focused, accelerated approach to drug process development. APC has grown organically to become a global powerhouse in process development, partnering with companies large and small to bring medicines to market at unprecedented speed. About VLE

Powered by transformation research in APC, VLE Therapeutics Ltd was formed to extend the value chain and deliver science and digital led manufacturing of Vaccines and Advanced Therapeutics. VLE Therapeutics will support the GMP manufacturing of clinical and commercial vaccines, next generation biologics &a advanced therapeutics and aims to transform the time and cost associated to produce medicines for our clients. This is the first Irish-owned facility expressly designed to provide Ireland and Europe with a local supply chain for these critical medicines.

To create the best client experience, we have created & implemented a seamless handover process from APC process development into GMP manufacturing, leveraging our novel platforms to deliver a Molecule-2- Market accelerator.

STEM Teacher Intern Role

Stage 1 – At our current APC facility, we have constructed a new state of the art biomanufacturing facility. Operations are employing cutting edge
technology including single use equipment & disposables and deploy digital solutions to support the best client experience.

Stage 2 – In parallel, we are planning the development of a bespoke 80,000ft2. greenfield GMP manufacturing facility, which will provide a
world-class platform for the manufacture of a wide range of vaccines next generation biologics & advanced therapeutics for our clients globally.

About the team
Department: L&D, Training and Capability Improvement

You will be joining our growing team within the newly restructured Learning, Development and Improvement Section. Our team vision is to enhance the individual technical and personal development facilitating their strive for excellence and best-in-class, in an open, people-centered, innovative and creative way while meeting the organizational needs. In support of the STInt program, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Intern to support in the continuous development of our technical training programs

You will be involved in:

APC
• Supporting technical training programs according to organizational
requirements

• Collaborating in the area of technical content creation (presentations, worksheets etc.) within different focus areas as needed.
• Processing and editing raw footage, audio dialog, adhering to pre-made branding /Quality approved templates in order to quickly and efficiently produce a final product, cohesive to our standard.
• Working with technical trainer to successfully implement strategic materials.
• Observing and evaluating results of training programs – Analyse data from feedback form-Determine overall effectiveness of programs and suggest improvements
• Delivering against assigned projects (scheduled training, technical mentoring support…) in accordance with APC’s expectations on technical delivery, quality, safety, behaviour & attitudes, continuous improvement and innovation.
• Focusing on continuous improvement, investigate and suggest potentially new interactive techniques.
• Attending APC Induction training sessions, the regular APC Innovation and Outreach Forum webinars, and our Monthly Safety Meetings
• Encouraged to participate to APC’s Cultural Forum activities and Sport & Social activities

VLE Therapeutics
• Helping with the development of a training programme for VLE Therapeutics, including an overall training plan and individual training for team members (vendor, demonstration, on-the-job and GMP)
• Collaborating with the project and operations team to develop training schedule, documentation, and execution of training needs!
• Supporting the development of a Knowledge Management capability to enable seamless tech transfer from APC process development into GMP manufacturing.
• Assisting with other operational readiness activities in support of the completing the facility build.
• Engaging with all relevant APC/VLE programmes as required or of interest.
