Hi, I’m Lauren from Limerick. I am in third year studying my Bachelor of Science with concurrent Teacher Education in the University of Limerick. My specialisms are Science Education with Physics.

During my internship I am aiming to become a knowledgeable, innovative and inspiring science teacher. I am hoping to get an insight into the STEM workplace, develop skills and bring my learning back to the classroom.

I am looking to develop and gain new skills such as working with teams and independently on research projects, developing my skills in the laboratory and being exposed to the work environment my students may pursue. I want to be well informed and gain an insight into how these companies work and hopefully build connections so that they can send speakers and so forth to the school I am teaching in in the future. I am determined to make the best of this internship, always putting my best foot forward.
