Clare Lavelle
Hi, I’m Clare. I am currently studying for my Professional Masters in Education (Primary) at Dublin City University.
I hold a huge interest in the area of Technology and completed my undergraduate dissertation titled ‘An investigation into the role of ICT in facilitating learning and development in the preschool classroom’, which I received excellent understanding of perceptions from preschool practitioners on the use of ICT. I also have a great interest in Mathematics Education in schools and have chosen Mathematics Education as my elective subject.
These experiences assisted me in recognising that it is my role as a future teacher is to motivate students to work to their ability and become confident and competent learners in the area of STEM. I believe through doing this it will create a positive outlook for them to aspire to further education and careers in STEM.
