STInt Intern Role Description 

Digital STEM Placement Student
Our strategy is to have three out of four of our customers digitally engaged. The successful candidate will work within the Digital team working towards this strategy and will include exposure to Agile methodologies and both the 123 and RSA side of the Business. As a Digital placement student, you will experience a programme that covers an introduction to all capabilities in the Digital team and facilitated real life experience for the participants in the form of building out a feature in our digital customer journey. The student will be brought through Agile ways of working, meeting all functions in the Digital Team – Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Digital Design, Product Ownership and Scrum Master – and how the team interacts with all the other functions in the business. They will be taken through a design thinking process to ideate, research and prototype an improvement to a 123.ie customer journey and facilitate getting that feature built and deployed. You will have the opportunity to interact with other employees in various areas and levels in the organisation. You will also be assigned a mentor to help ensure that your placement is positive and enjoyable.

Over the 3 months we will have five streams covering an introduction to all capabilities in our Digital Team:
 Digital Design
 Product Ownership
 Business Analysis
 Data Analytics
 Scrum Master

We will have a course that will support an Agile Squad. Throughout the lifecycle of the course, we will show you how to act, think and live agile values to become an effective
customer focused squad. In the first month of forming, you will come together in an ideation session where you will decide on a customer focused improvement you would like to bring to life! Then throughout the course you will learn how to transform this idea into a production ready change that can add value to our customers. You will be fully supported by members of the Digital Team who will deliver training and mentorship through-out your journey. In the final month you will run a live sprint! Where Developers and QA will join your squad and bring your idea to production.
