Tell us about yourself

My name is Judi, and I’m currently completing my final year in Science Education at Dublin City University. My specialisms are┬áChemistry and Mathematics. I’m keen to put the processes and skills that I have learnt over the past 4 years into practice outside of the classroom setting, while learning more about the industry. I would also like to learn more about the roles available to students who study STEM subjects, so that I can better advise students about how what they learn in the classroom can be applied to their everyday life.

I applied to the STInt Programme because...

I am applying as I believe that it will allow me to further enhance and develop the skills I have learnt during my degree. I believe that the STEM Teacher Internship will allow me to become a better educator as I will learn first hand how the skills learnt in the classroom are applied in industry. I believe that this will aid me in advising students if they ask me for advice or are considering a career in STEM fields. I also believe that the STEM Teacher Internship will give me the opportunity to learn more about my chosen subjects and about their use in industry.
