It has allowed me to be more confident discussing what I have to offer in terms of STEM during interviews for teaching positions. It has allowed me to gain knowledge on a bank of free STEM resources available for students to use to develop STEM skills. Confidence in recommending these resources to other teachers and explaining how to use them. Given a real life experience of how the skills and concepts explored in the DL specialism are used on a day to day basis and how I can use these skills and concepts in my own career and to develop these amongst my students.

Gamifying the lifecycle of plants with MakeCode Arcade
This resource will support educators in developing a deep understanding of the different stages of a plant during its life cycle by using MakeCode Arcade.
The resources here will assist educators to:
- Revise previous learning of students regarding the life cycle of a plan
- Engage students in a new and creative way by gamifying the plant life cycle using MakeCode Arcade
- Assess students understanding of the content
This resource was developed based on the Irish primary school curriculum. However, the lifecycle of a plant is a common Science topic around the world. As such, educators on here can use these resources and adapt them where appropriate.
