My name is Gerard Butler, I am currently in the process of completing a Professional Master of Education (PME) at University College Dublin (UCD). I have always been fascinated by Geography, particularly how the natural world influences human activities at both a local and global level. I also possess a love for English as a subject, both in terms of literature and communication. As such, studying both subjects together under the Bachelor of Arts Joint Honours (BAJH) at DCU was a no-brainer. The STInt programme is of great interest to me as it offers an opportunity to learn how STEM skills can be applied to successfully overcoming real-world problems. I expect that the experience gained through this programme would enhance my teaching of Geography in the post-primary classroom.
